That is a statistic by New England Journal of Medicine.  The actual results in our "real" office setting may be much higher.  Check this out:

• Out of our last 100 chronic neck and low back patients, 62% had been cleared for surgery before seeking relief at our clinic.
• Of those 62 patients that were told they needed spinal surgery, 60 of them were candidates for non-surgical spinal decompression.
• Of those 60 patients, 52 chose to receive treatment at our facility.
• Of those 52 that chose treatment at our facility, 49 of them successfully completed the program and found relief from their chronic pain.
